【Cameron Highland】1st Day Of The 3D2N Trip | Butterfly & Insect Farm + Night Market + Homemade Steamboat

3D2N Cameron Highland Trip
Let's Go!!!
In the morning of 17th January, a group of youngsters have departed to Cameron Highland. Although these youngsters come from different places, yet they all share a same home - She Fu (community service society).

We departed shortly after having our breakfast in Penang at about 7.30AM.

I was sitting at the back every time I passed through the Penang bridge. However, this time I was a copilot. And finally, I have successfully snapped this beautiful view of the Penang bridge!

On the way, we saw the red rising sun.

Soon, we reached our first station, the Sg. Perak rest station. There is a tower at the rest station and this view is taken from the top of the tower.

Taking a group photo at the top of the tower.

And another group photo at the spiral stairs.

Before reaching our apartment, we have our lunch at Hotel Titiwangsa cafe. This is our first group photo at Cameron Highland.

3D2N Cameron Highland Trip

We ordered our own meal.

3D2N Cameron Highland Trip

You can get yourself full within RM10 at there.

3D2N Cameron Highland Trip

Upon serving the foods, smoke still can be seen coming out from them. However, the foods turn cold pretty soon as the weather at there is just too cold!

After having our lunch, we continued our journey to our apartment. We stayed in an apartment at Carnation Park, Tanah Rata. We rest in our apartment for a little before we continued our journey.

You can see the butterfly farm at your left after you enter the farm. I was a little bit disappointed with this butterfly farm as the butterfly inside were not as many as I thought it would be. The only different is that the butterflies there are way more larger.

3D2N Cameron Highland Trip

Well, the butterfly farm is actually just a small garden. All we can do is just walking around and snap some photos.

3D2N Cameron Highland Trip

Exit the butterfly farm and you will see this cactus garden.

3D2N Cameron Highland Trip

Walking further down and you will see a number of glass tanks. Inside these tanks live the insects that are rarely seen.

3D2N Cameron Highland Trip

Hairy spider of the size of a hand palm

3D2N Cameron Highland Trip

Gigantic centipede

3D2N Cameron Highland Trip

Beetle of the size of half hand palm

3D2N Cameron Highland Trip

Walking down some more and you will still see a number of glass tanks, but with different host - the snakes.

3D2N Cameron Highland Trip

Of all the snakes, I like this green snake the most. It is much more beautiful compare to other snakes.

3D2N Cameron Highland Trip

This turtle lives beside the snakes in a small land.

3D2N Cameron Highland Trip

These are bullfrogs. It is the largest frog I have seen so far with my own eyes. When looking at them, I suddenly think of a friend who is very scared of frogs..haha..

3D2N Cameron Highland Trip

Can anyone tell what ducks are these?

Beside animals, you can enjoy yourself with the beautiful flowers at there.

Our national flower - hibiscus

3D2N Cameron Highland Trip

The inner most part is the vegetable farm.

3D2N Cameron Highland Trip

Trying to steal the vegetables..haha..

3D2N Cameron Highland Trip

After shooting some photos at the vegetables farm, we went to our next destination.

3D2N Cameron Highland Trip

We went to the market nearby to buy the ingredients needed for the steamboat later.

3D2N Cameron Highland Trip

My favourite food in the market is this strawberry sticks wrapped with the sweet chocolate. The sweet and sour taste is the best!

3D2N Cameron Highland Trip

The seller told me that the chocolate is their handmade!

3D2N Cameron Highland Trip

After buying all the ingredients, we head back to our apartment to prepare our steamboat.

3D2N Cameron Highland Trip

Before we eat our steamboat, we 'lao sheng' together as the Chinese New Year is coming soon.

3D2N Cameron Highland Trip

Steamboat is the second best thing to eat on Cameron Highland (Chocolate Strawberry is the best..haha..)

3D2N Cameron Highland Trip

It is pretty warm to have steamboat and a hot drink in this cold weather.

3D2N Cameron Highland Trip

After dinner, we went to the town to buy our breakfast for tomorrow. On the way back, we saw this beautiful scene and so we stopped by and take a photo.

3D2N Cameron Highland Trip

There aren't many chance to take a photo in a cold night with a bunch of good friends in my life. This moment, I treasure it.

3D2N Cameron Highland Trip

Let's end the night with this photo of Hotel De La Ferns as the background.

An advice for those who will be visiting Cameron Highland. Do find an apartment with the heater still functioning well, otherwise it will be very very cold when you take your bath.
