Today is the second day of the Heritage Celebration, and it marks the end of the Georgetown Festival 2013. The celebration for today has a variety of traditional performances from many races, and the audiences has increase drastically comparing yesterday.

Lebuh Acheh - Showcase of Malay Heritage Pulau Pinang

A day-long experience of the traditional arts and heritage of the Malay community, with delicious Malay traditional cakes (kuih-muih Melayu), sepak takraw competitions, demonstrations of traditional Malay games of congkak and gasing and more, where you can join in the fun.

Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling - Indian Muslim Cultural and Heritage Celebration

Jalan Pintal Tali & Lebuh Campbell - Meng Eng Soo Open Day - Path of Our Forbears

Meng Eng Soo is a hundred-year old ancestral hall of the earliest Chinese secret society - Ghee Hin Kongsi (established in the year of 1790) which located at the Rope Walk of George Town, Penang. After many years of bewildered, Meng Eng Soo was restored and now under the management of Penang Chinese Clan Council. In conjunction with the celebration of Georgetown Festival 2013 as Georgetown was listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site 5th Anniversary Celebration, the council would like to organise an unique event named as 'Meng Eng Soo Open Day - The Path That Our Sage Predecessors Walked Through' to enhance the livelihood of early Penang. Beside a chance to understand the secret and the history of Meng Eng Soo, public is invited to take part in the event by dressing in traditional costume.
