Christmas is around the corner! Have you planned on how to celebrate this wonderful day? How about having a Christmas Eve buffet dinner with your loved one? Well, G Cafe is offering a scrumptious Christmas Eve buffet dinner featuring festive specialities, international and local selection of soups, appetizers, main course and desserts for this coming Christmas. Let's come together with your friends and family and have a Christmas feast to remember!
Again, I am honoured to be invited to this Christmas buffet dinner by G Hotel. It was really a wonderful night and a happy gathering for bloggers and medias. I truly enjoyed the moments throughout the night, and the best part would be meeting new friends! Thanks a lot for having me in this beautiful event, I appreciate it very much!
Right on the entrance to G Cafe, it is beautifully decorated with Christmas tree and decorations. While the decorations are nice to look at, there are some lovely Christmas goodies available for takeaways. Guests can choose from a variety of tasty and freshly baked Assorted Christmas Cookies, Assorted Macaroon, Christmas Fruit Cake, Christmas Log Cake, Christmas Minced Pei and many more sweet delicacies.
The lazy night was "heat up" by the bloggers, medias and G Hotel's staffs which sum up to 30 over persons. Indeed, it was a night filled with fun, joy and laughter.

Normally, one will save the desserts for the last, but not for me. Learning from the past experience, which I ate too much for the main course until I have no space left in my stomach for the desserts, this time I have decided to go for the desserts first. Well, how could I allowed myself to miss out the desserts prepared by the Award Winning Pastry Chef, Chef Tan, right?
Tiramisu & Carrot Cake
Tiramisu Cake is one of the tastiest desserts among all. The portion is just nice that it keeps me going for another one. Trust me, you definitely won't want to miss out this one!
Christmas Yule Log Cake
Yule Loge Cake, known in French by bûche de Noël, is a traditional dessert served near Christmas. Seeing it reminds me of my little brother's birthday, which falls on the Christmas Eve Day. Yup, this little guy is lucky enough to have the Christmas Yule Log Cake for his birthday cake every year (I am kinda jealous XD)!
Crispy Pear Puff
Crispy Pear Puff is something new for me. Ya, I have never thought of having a puff stuffed with pear filling! At first, I cant really get used to the taste, I mean when I still don't know that it was actually a pear puff, but after a while, the taste was rather favouring.
Strawberry Chill Cheese Cake
This strawberry cheese cake looks so much tantalising! But... But... I have miss out this one! Just realised it when I checked back on the photos. Regreting now...... (T_T)
Chocolate Mud Cake
Well, as a loyal fan of chocolate, this chocolate mud cake was definitely one of my favourites! It was rich, so much rich in CHOCOLATE! The creamy and moist texture were just good enough for my liking! Love it!

Mince Pie
I have tried the assorted Christmas cookies, Christollen and mince pie during the G Hotel's Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. These desserts are only available during the Christmas time. Personally like the mince pie as it was stuffed with raisins (I like raisin! XD). As for the cookies, it has a gummy texture which gives an unique mouthfeel.
Assorted Macaroon
I have always seen macaroon in other's blog but I have never tried it before. This was my first time trying it and the texture was different from what I thought. Instead of soft, it was actually kinda brittle. As for the taste, it varies with the colours but basically they were all sweet.
This is Constance from Food Hunter Concon, who has been my driver for many times. Really thanks a lot for the help and sorry for the trouble caused. Oh ya, she is a girl who loves desserts very much!
Chocolate Fountain
Here comes another favourite of mine - the chocolate fountain that came all the way from New Zealand! Yet, it was another regret of the night. I didn't get to taste it as I get my stomach full with other foods! I should have eaten it before I ate anything esle. (T_T)
That's all for the desserts (but, of course, the buffer dinner was not limited to the above desserts, I have miss out some of them). Now let's move on to the appetizers.

At the salad bar, there were ice berg lettuce, romaine, red chicory, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, carrot, baby corn, brocolli, cauliflower, red cabbage, lollo rossa & bionda, and green & red capsicum. For the dressing, there were chilli lime dressing, Italian dressing, yogurt dressing, French dressing, thousand island dressing, honey mustard dressing and so on.

If vegetable is not your choice, you can go for the meat salad. Among all, I favour the squid salad more. The squid was al dente and the taste was appetizing.

Mozzarella Cheese
I have tried this mozzarella cheese during the Tree Bar food review. One thing special about this mozzarella cheese is that it was made from the buffalo milk all the way from Campania, Italy. As for the taste, it was a bit dull, thus it is best served with other foods.

Beside mozzarella cheese, there are other types of cheese available for the buffet dinner.
Alright, enough with the appetizers and cheeses. Now it's time for the main course, hot from the chafing dish.

Among all the chafing dishes, I like this Fish Scaloppini the most. The fish was smooth and slippery and soft in the mouth. Serving it together with the cream sauce was just perfect!

These pizzas were from the pizza corner. Well, the pizza doesn't attracted me that much. Perhaps it was due to the fact that I was already too full at this point.
What's a Christmas without turkey, right? A roasted turkey with apple cranberry sauce and giblet gravy with traditional stuffing is available at the carvery corner! Besides, the carvery corner was filled with roasted lamb, roasted duck and crispy potato wedges as well.
Not to forget there is a "fresh seafood on ice" section as well. There were prawns, mussels and scallops for the night. Unfortunately, I am allergic to seafood. All I can do was to stare at them and took photos. :'(
Last but not least - the fruit section.
It was indeed another blissful night for me at G Hotel. I was enjoying myself so much with the little chat I had with the new friends I just met. What's more, Ann (marketing communication assistant manager) has ordered me a dessert wine. Gosh, the wine was so nice!
Before we leaved G Hotel, we went to see the little Christmas tree at the lounge where the kids from the Salvation Army hung their wishes on. It is a meaningful charity event, "A Time To Give" organised by G Hotel, where public can pick on any card on the Christmas tree and fulfill the wish written on it.
This 12 years old little boy wants a M.C. football jersey for his Christmas present, can you make his wish come true? The kids from Salvation Army will opened their gifts on 22 December 2014 at 4 PM. It is gonna be an amazing day for the kids! If you happen to be free on that day, let's come together with friends to witness this meaningful moment.
