On the 13th December 2014, Monroe Cafe & Lounge was having their soft launch party. Located inside the 1926 Heritage Hotel, it is a new concept in Penang which combines the cafe and lounge with Marilyn Monroe as the design theme.
Guests were arriving at 6 PM. Monroe Cafe & Lounge cheered up the party with lots of red and black balloons, which I supposed it was their theme colour. As Christmas is around the corner, Monroe Cafe & lounge was filled with Christmas decorative items. Yup, Christmas is definitely in the air!

Probably the latest trend of cafe and lounge along the busy streets of Burma Road in Georgetown, Monroe Cafe & Lounge is a fusion of cocktail bar, restaurant, live music venue and performance space. All in but one!
Monroe cafe is located facing the main door of 1926 Heritage Hotel. They are currently having a tea time promotion where customers get to enjoy a cup of selected choices of tea or coffee with a slice of cake from, 2 PM to 5 PM.
To the inner left of the 1926 Heritage Hotel is where the bar located. Their happy hour is from 5 PM to 9 PM daily.

Aha, don't get naughty bro..haha.. Monroe Cafe & Lounge features a relaxed but elevated Marilyn Monroe design experience. Yup, you can see a lots of Marilyn Monroe within the cafe and lounge!
The party was livelier with the all night live band. I love the way they sang the songs in a slow manner with their wonderful voice. I was really enjoying it!
As always, a party must be completed with foods! Monroe Cafe & Lounge has prepared the "Eat All You Can Buffet" for the guests. Though, I only get to eat one round for the foods, there were nothing left when I go for a second round. =(
Oh ya, there was a Marilyn Monroe cardboard standing right on the entrance of the hotel. Many arriving guests were taking a selfie with this "Marilyn Monroe" with the props provided.
As a token of appreciation, Monroe Cafe & Lounge has presented all the guests with a Marilyn Monroe Mug. Thanks for the gift!
