Talk Talk Wine Bar & Lounge |
In this modern era, many of us cant resist the fun and the excitement brought by the games and apps. Many people are living in the virtual world more than they are in the real world (I have to admit that I am one of the many people), and thus the time we spend with friends become lesser. It is an easy task to find a comfortable place for a gathering, just not far from my house there is this Talk Talk Wine Bar & Lounge. The concept of "Talk Talk" is to provide a comfortable environment for the customers to meet up with their friends and have a nice chit-chat after a whole day of works.
As for why I was there in this high class restaurant, well, I bet you know the reason, right? Yup, I was attending a bloggers' gathering organised by Tour Directions and this time there were 10 bloggers with us. I would like to thank Tour Directions and Talk Talk Wine Bar & Lounge for giving me this chance to enjoy the beautiful night full of delicious foods!

There are few tables and chairs being set up at the front of the restaurant. For those who want some privacy and those who cant stand cold (just like me), this can be a good choice for you.
Once I stepped into the restaurant, the first thing that carved into my mind is not what I seen, nor what I heard, but the fragrant smell that stimulated my sense of smell. I saw there were few air filter being put on different spots in the restaurant, so the air inside the restaurant was indeed the fresh one. In overall, the feeling I get was this place was really comfortable.
Talk Talk Wine Bar & Lounge has started their business for 5 months and it was a combination of tree double-storey units. The middle one is a bar.
There is a stage at the back of the bar. There will be singing band coming to perform during Friday and Saturday night.
The left side of the restaurant is a cafe that sells coffees and cakes. When I was there, the cafe seems to have more people than the bar, perhaps the time was still early.
At the right of the restaurant is a Thai restaurant, Tok Tok Cuisine. Actually, Tok Tok Cuisine has stated the business even before Talk Talk Wine Bar & Lounge exist, it has been selling Thai cuisine for over one and a half year.
If you are coming with a number of friends, they have prepared the comfortable sofa for you.
There are wider areas at the second floor which is prepared for friend's gathering purpose.
You have to book to get these gathering place.
I saw wooden windows in the restaurant. Yes, it is wooden window! The manager told us that the boss wanted to build a restaurant with the theme of alley. All the designs in the restaurant were thought by the boss himself, who is an architect at the same time as well.
The windows are not the only special feature in the restaurant. The lighting here is very special as well! They merely put a bulb in a jug and a super creative lamp is done. This was the first time I have seen a lamp like this!
I have found something fun in the restaurant. There are many talking bubbles being hang in the wall and the sentences inside the talking bubble are very funny and creative. I laughed alone after reading some of it..haha..
The handrail of the ladder was made by iron pipes. I really do feel like being in an alley.
The view of the bar from the upper floor.
Another thing worth to mention is that some parts of the wall are made of red bricks. The bricks were the real thing, definitely not a wallpaper!
Done with the restaurant's environment and now let's move on to the foods. Overall, I was very satisfied with the foods, only that the price is a little bit expensive.
Thai Cuisine
Fish Cake - RM4.50(Per Piece)
This Thai's fish cake tasted like the local's Otak-Otak. It is a snack worth trying.
Green Curry Chicken - RM25.00
This was my first time trying green curry (actually I can get it at the food court below my house but I have never tried it before). To me, the curry was a bit spicy.
Sar Hor Fun - RM12.90
Fried Hor Fun - 12.90
This fired hor fun was a bit too dry.
Mix Vege - RM18.00
Siam Egg - RM12.00
The vegetable that was mixed in the egg can only be bought at Thailand. The manager said that their chef will go to Thailand to buy the ingredients once or twice a month.
Kapao Mu - RM23.00
Tomyam Seafood (L) - RM68.00
The taste was similar to the tomyam at most Thai restaurant, it wasn't too spicy.
Western Cuisine
Pork Bacon Carbonara - RM21.90
The cream of the carbonara is very thick. Personally like this creamy sensation very much!
Grilled Chicken Thigh - RM26.90
Pork Chop - RM32.90
Personally like the potato wedges very much (I have ate quite a lot of it..haha..). As for the pork chop, it was a little bit hard to me.
Steak - RM68
