Tropical Island |
This is my second time visited J.A.M Cafe but this time, I was visiting as a blogger. Many thanks to the Eatlicious's
blogger, Jazz for inviting me to the J.A.M Cafe food review. This is my
first time participating in such event and it was definitely a new
experience for me.
The
beverage above is Tropical Island, RM5.90. It consists of lemongrass,
pineapple and mint. The taste of the lemongrass is a little bit stronger
so if you are a lemongrass lover, you will love it.
This
is the Peanut Paradise smoothie, RM7.90. Vanilla yogurt, peanut butter
and cocoa are the main ingredients. Besides, you can also feel the
banana taste from this smoothie. The chef said he has added some oats
into the smoothie to make it a healthy drink.
Stewed
sweet pear with snow fungus, RM5.90. Another healthy beverage which the
taste is a little bit sweet. The pear is soft and can be easily sliced
off with spoon.
Tang
Yuan, RM5.90. Beside the normal ginger taste, you can feel the
chrysanthemum taste from this Tang Yuan. If you wish it to make it
sweeter, there is honey beside for you to add in. Some of the Tang Yuan
have the black sesame filling.
Crispy
potato skin, RM4.90. This snack is not included in the menu, so you
have to order it by yourself. Upon serving, the smell of the fried
potato is circulating in my nose. The thin and crispy potato skin made
it feels like as if you are eating a potato chip.
Baby
carrot and apple soup, RM4.90. The carrot taste of this soup is quite
dominant. If you like carrot, you will definitely love it.
Wild mushroom soup, RM4.90. You can add on this mushroom soup and a drink with just RM5 once you have ordered a main course.
J.A.M.'s
Summer Salad, RM8.50. The salad includes mixed fruits, nut and berry
dressing. I personally like to eat the J.A.M Cafe's vegetable very much.
It just feels so fresh.
Beer
chicken drumstick, RM12.90. According to the chef, the drumstick is
being marinated with wine for two days before serving. This is so that
the wine can be absorbed by every part of the drumstick. If you like to
drink beer, you can try this out.
Beer
chicken drumstick comes with mashed potato, it is hidden under the
drumstick (last week I didn't snap it, this time I remembered..haha..).
Lamb
and red wine stew, RM15.90. Well, I cant give any comment for this main
course as I personally do not eat lamb. However, the other bloggers
said that it is not bad.
The lamb and red wine stew is served with rice.
J.A.M.'s
Komtar Burger, RM12.80. Such gigantic size of the burger should be
plenty for two persons. There are four types of meats to choose from,
chicken, pork, fish and beef. You can choose two from between these
meats for your burger.
Lemongrass
Crème Brûlée, RM7.90. The sweetness of this Crème Brûlée is not too
sweet. The presentation of this dessert is pretty nice with berries
surrounding the Crème Brûlée.
Durian
Volcano, RM9.90. This dessert with the durian theme is a durian cake
inside with vanilla ice-cream on the cake. The outer burned layer is
actually not cream but some kine of protein.
This
is the cake inside the durian volcano. The fragrant smell of the durian
is circulating through the air when the dessert is sliced open. For
those who likes durian very much, do remember to order it.
This
is the interior space of J.A.M Cafe. You will notice that the
decoration is quite special if you pay attention to the surrounding,
especially the picture's frame.
The front side of J.A.M Cafe. There are two wooden tables and four wooden benches for the customers to enjoy their meal.
