Interesting road name of Penang |
Today, when I was wondering around at Jelutong area, I found out some interesting road name in a nearby residential area. The road name in the residential area are name after adjectives or objects. I am not sure whether or not these roads have their official Chinese name and English name, but directly translate them would be somehow funny and special. Hope you all will find it interesting too. Enjoy!

Jalan Slim
Jalan Slim is not in the residential area already. It is located near the Jelutong night market.

I believe that most Penangites are familiar with this road. When I first met with this road, I was a bit surprised as I have never thought that I will bumped into such road name in Penang. This road is located near Town Steamboat Restaurant.

Milk Lane is just not far from One Hundred Year Lane. The reaction of when I first met with this road was the same as when I first met with One Hundred Year Lane. Actually there are many interesting road name in the world heritage site, George Town. The first road name that attracted me so much was the Love Lane (maybe I was too longing for love at that time XD).

I saw this road name when I walked to Tanjung Bungah. That time I was thinking that perhaps one day I can find a Dog Lane in Penang.
▲Direct Translate: Teacher Abu Road
I met with this road somewhere in Teluk Kumbar when I walked to Gertak Sanggul. I felt that it was special because the road name I normally saw was name after some great person. Yet, this road was name after a teacher with the name merely Abu.
One of the entertainment I get when I walked in Penang was to meet with these interesting road name. Every time when I walked until tired, these funny road name always made me smile.

ReplyDelete谢谢你,Yaya~
