Our breakfast of the second day at Thean Chun Restaurant |

After sleeping one night at Hua Wei's house, we went to Ipoh the next morning. We departed from Taiping at 9AM and reached Ipoh an hour later. The first thing we do in Ipoh was to have our breakfast at this Thean Chun Restaurant.
I have ordered this rice noodle roll. I personally dislike the taste of it.
This is the beef noodle soup ordered by Ze Chen. He said that the taste is quite similar with the taste of beef noodle soup at China and he likes it very much.
This satay taste normal only but it's sauce tastes quite nice.
This egg custard is my favourite! It is soft, sweet, cold and it just tastes very nice! Really love it! =)
After having our breakfast, we went to visit Kellie's Castle. On the way, we passed through a cave and so we pay a visit to the cave. At there, I wasn't shooting any photo as my mood was pretty down because of the rain. In fact, I was feeling down for the whole journey as it rains the whole day! =(
Soon after visiting the cave, we reached Kellie's Castle. There is an entrance fee needed for entering the castle. An adult Malaysian will have to pay RM5 for the entrance fee. Though Ze Chen is from China, but after he showed his Malaysia's car license to the ticket seller, she treated Ze Chen as a Malaysian as well.
There are rumors saying that this Kellie's Castle is haunted. It is said that this is the ghostly corridor where the Ghost Kellie appeared.
There are four secret passages hidden in this castle. So far, only three secret passages have been founded and the last one whereabouts is still unknown.
This building was the living place for the maids.
This view is taken from the top of the castle. From there, you can see that this castle is actually bounded by a river.
Snapped a photo at the top of the castle~
After visiting Kellie's Castle, we went to Sun Yeong Wai Restaurant to have our lunch. Hua Wei said that the duck of this restaurant is one of the best in Ipoh.
Lastly, before we went back to Penang, we came to this Nam Heong Kopitiam. This kopitiam is actually the origin of the famous Old Town White Coffee.
Of course, it is a must to order the original white coffee at there. Obviously, this white coffee tastes much more nicer than most of the coffee. Really is a must try!
We have ordered egg tart as well. The crust of the egg tart is pretty crunchy but the taste of the egg is not strong enough, nearly tasteless. the egg tart we ate was a freshly made one so I think it is because of the hotness of the egg tart that we cant taste the egg.
With this, it is the end for the two days one night trip. Throughout the trip, my mood wasn't so good but wasn't too bad as well. Just feel like there was something I should have done but I do not and I wasted my chance just like that. Frankly speaking, when travelling with friends, I dislike taking photos. It somehow feels like I am missing out the time we spent together and I am living in my own world.
