| 功夫佬祖传古茶 |
原本只是单纯的想在大热天喝杯凉茶，怎知道就这样和这位韦淇竞先生聊了起来。这一聊就聊了半个钟，而且韦先生还免费请我尝试其他的古茶呢！
为了配合店名《功夫佬》，韦先生特地穿上一身的武者衣装，感觉还真的是很《功夫佬》。
A hot afternoon is best served with a cold herbal tea. So, I came to this herbal tea stall to get one. Unexpectedly, this simple purchasing activity has turn into a half an hour conversation with the hawker, Mr. Edwin Wai. Mr. Edwin has let me tried all the other herbal teas for free. To match with the tittle of his stall 'Kung Fu Guy', Mr. Edwin has wear a set of Chinese warrior clothing.
韦先生说这些古茶已经有上百年的历史了。古茶的配方都是由祖先们流传下来的。在尝试了所有的古茶后，味道果然是很不同。尤其是菊花茶，味道真的是很天然，很健康，一点也不甜，和一般在茶餐室喝到的是完全不同的。韦先生的冷饮也和一般的冷饮不同，多数茶室都会把冰块直接放入饮料里，但韦先生则是把饮料装入瓶子里然后再用冰块包围瓶子让饮料冷却。韦先生说这样才不会影响到古茶的草药效果。
According to Mr. Edwin, these herbal teas has a history of over 100 years and the formulas of these teas are passed down by the ancestors. After tasting all the herbal teas, the taste is really different from those of the coffee shop, especially the chrysanthemum tea. It tastes so nature and so healthy and it is not sweet at all. The cold drink Mr. Edwin made is different from those made by the coffee shop. Normally, coffee shop will put in some ices to the drink to make it cold but Mr. Edwin way is to put the drink into a bottle and then cover the bottle with ices around it to made the drink cold. Mr. Edwin said that with this the medicinal effect of the herbal tea will not lost.
《功夫佬》祖传古茶的营业时间是由早上9点至下午5点，星期二是休息的。韦先生说古茶在不同的时段都有着不同的味道。早上会稍微淡些，到了下午，药味慢慢融入茶中，所以味道会以较浓，效果也会比较好。
The business hour for this herbal tea stall is from 9am to 5pm, rest on Tuesday. According to Mr. Edwin, the taste of the herbal tea is different for different time. In the morning, the herbal tea will be less saturated. As time passes, the herbs will dissolve into the herbal tea and it will taste more saturated in the afternoon and of course the medicinal effect will be stronger.
韦先生只有售卖三种茶，菊花茶，苦茶和消暑茶。韦先生说消暑茶是由六至七种药材配制而成的，有利尿与护肝的作用，适合熬夜者服用。苦茶则是由十种以上的药材配制而成的所以会相当的苦。大热天走在街上喝苦茶是最好的了因为苦茶可以去热。至于菊花茶呢，韦先生说通常大家都是喝来解渴的，也是个健康的饮料。
Mr. Edwin sells only three types of herbal teas, chrysanthemum tea, bitter tea and heat relieve tea. The heat relieve tea is made up of 6 to 7 herbs together and it is good for the liver and diuretic, suitable for those who like to burn midnight oil. The bitter tea is made up of more than 10 types of herbs so it is much more bitter. Walking under the hot sun, this bitter tea is the best to consume as it can remove the heat from our body. And for the chrysanthemum tea, Mr. Edwin said that people normally drink it to quench their thirst and at the same it is a healthy drink to consume too.
如果想要当场喝的话，韦先生就会把茶倒进这个铁杯里。消暑茶和菊花茶各是RM1.30而苦茶则是RM1.50。如果苦茶想要加药粉的话则需要多添加RM1。
If you wish to drink the herbal tea on the spot, Mr. Edwin will serve the tea with this iron cup. The heat relieve tea and the chrysanthemum tea are both RM1.30 while the bitter tea is RM1.50. If you want to add on the herbal powder into the bitter tea, then you will have to pay an extra RM1.
如果你是想要用瓶装带回家的话，消暑茶和菊花茶各一瓶是RM2.50。韦先生说一瓶的分量就相等于两杯的分量。苦茶是没有瓶装的因为苦茶需要当场喝完才能见效。
If you wan to take these teas back home, you can purchase the one with the bottle. The heat relieve tea and the chrysanthemum tea are both RM2.50 each bottle. Mr. Edwin said that the quantity of one bottle is equal to the quantity of two iron cup. The bitter tea does not has the bottle one because it has to drink on the spot for the medicinal herbs to be effective.
说了长篇大论，现在终于要说地点了。这家《功夫佬》祖传古茶就在很出名的《姐弟共骑》壁画的左边，Gat Lebuh Armenian和Lebuh Pantai的交叉路口那里。去拍《姐弟共骑》壁画的时候可以来试试哦，尤其是大热天的时候。
After the long story, finally it is time for the location to be revealed. This herbal tea stall is located at the left side of the famous 'Siblings on a bicycle' mural, which is at the crossroad of Armenian Street Ghaut and Beach Street. If you happen to take picture of the 'Siblings on a bicycle' mural, do go and try out the healthy herbal tea, especially during a big hot day.
