曾经有一段时间，小嵻在槟城时代广场里所举办的某个书展打了一个星期的工。当时几乎每天都来光顾《食代广场》，享用他们的鸡饭。那时的《食代广场》给我的感觉就是：“怎么这间饮食中心那么冷清啊？而且也毫无头绪要吃些什么？”。或许之前曾经光顾过《食代广场》的你们也会有和小嵻一样的想法吧？但是，如今的《食代广场》已更换了新的管理层，食物与环境方面也得以改良，非同往日了。

Long ago, I have heard of this gigantic burger appeared somewhere in Penang, but I have never really went to search for it. Until few days ago, a friend of mine has invited me to try out this gigantic burger and then I just realised that it was actually located at somewhere pretty near to my house. What a surprise!

While I was refreshing my Facebook wall yesterday, I saw a Bali-Bali hawker center (previously) photo post by a friend. Without delay, I shut down my laptop, took out my camera and walked to Bali-Bali immediately. As a former USM student, there are so much memory I had with Bali-Bali. Unfortunately, it was somehow closed for more than one year. There was no news about it since then until last month when I saw a banner hanging in front of it. It said that a large scale hawker center will be opening soon. I was so excited when I knew the news as the place of my precious memory is coming back! The renovation works started about the end of August and I waited patiently for it's opening everyday since then. And finally, it was opened yesterday! However, it was not called Bali-Bali anymore, it is known as Golden Phoenix Restaurant from now on.

昨天正刷着面书涂鸦墙时，刷到了一张朋友发的Bali-Bali饮食中心（前身）照片。我二话不说，关了手提电脑，带着我的相机，立马走到了Bali-Bali。曾经身为理大生的我，在Bali-Bali有着太多美好回忆。曾经一个人在那里留到深夜，曾经和那里的小贩有说有笑，曾经和一大群朋友一起在那里聚餐，还有很多很多的曾经。后来，Bali-Bali不知怎么就关闭了，听说是要开间买车的。这一关就关了一年多，什么消息也没有，直到上个月看见那里挂了布条说要开间大型饮食中心。当时的心情真的很兴奋，因为那充满回忆的地方要回来了！大概在八月尾时，场地开始了装修工作。我每天都很耐心地等待，得空时偶尔会经过看看。终于，就在昨天，它开张了！但是它有了新的名字，从今往后它将被称为金凤凰美食中心。

Nowadays, almost all food we get at the hawker stall will be added with monosodium glutamate (MSG). It is not easy to find a hawker stall where it's food is MSG free. Today, I was lucky to have met with this western cuisine hawker stall, Daddy's Farm where it is practicing healthy food services. All it's food are MSG free!

Whenever I saw mee sotong, it reminds me of an incident that heppened on my colleagues. On a fine day, me and my colleagues went to have this mee sotong for our lunch. After finished the meal, two of my colleagues left earlier to do something and without paying for the mee sotong! It was after we reached the office and told them that they were eating for free, they just realised that they actually forgot to pay..haha..

When I first heard of Pasembur, I was blur and has no idea what it is. After some time, I just realise that it is actually an Indian's food, more like Indian salad. Pasembur mainly consists of slices of cucumber and turnip, prawn fritters, beancurd and other ingredients. I have only heard this Pasembur food in Penang and not other state.

当我第一次听到鲜鱼时，我还以为是新鲜的鱼呢。。哈哈。。后来才发现原来鲜鱼其实是印度人的其中一种食物，可以说是印度人的沙律。鲜鱼主要包含了黄瓜丝，沙葛丝，虾饼，豆干，以及其它的配料。来到了槟城，我才知道原来是有鲜鱼这种食物存在的，在其他地方我都没听过哦。

美丽华の药材面

今天，我生病了。所以我的晚餐就随随便便在我家楼下附近的美丽华饮食中心解决了。我点了药材面，心想生病时吃药材应该会比较好一点，对吧？哈哈。。在槟城，有售卖药材面的地方不多吧，就那么幸运的，在我家附近就有一摊了而且还很好吃。这摊药材面售价M4.50，如果加蛋的话就RM5。我平时都会点有加蛋的。
